SHELL ORION SAGD PHASE ONE

This Shell Canada project is located roughly 30 km northwest of Cold Lake, Alberta. Shell is expanding its pilot SAGD recovery project in the area into a 20,000-barrel-per-day commercial operation.

The commercial development will involve drilling over 100 horizontal wells and adding steam generation, water recycling and production facilities. Construction on the first phase of a two phase development started in 2007.

BOXX Modular provided the first units on site. We supplied:

• one 60’ x 60’ office complex;
• one 36’ x 60’ office complex;
• three 11’ x 32’ lavatories; and
• ten free-standing office/lunchrooms
